2008 NWQN RND 2 at
Straddleline
(April. 29,
2008)
NWQN had a great weekend for round 2
at Straddleline. Saturday brought the sun out
with great action by all riders. Production A
race had a fight between Kyle Watkins and Drew
Lattimar with Drew finally beating Kyle out to take
the lead and cross the finish line. The Pro
race also seen some action on both days with a fight
between our three Pros, Mcnitt #10, Petchnick #19,
and Oppen #12. Sundays event was also quite
the spectacle with action in each event. In
the mini's there was a constant battle between Lucas
Weaver # 9 and A.McIntyre on the #388y quad.
Hunter Fromm #126 checked out on his races. We
seen a few 50cc out there and are hoping to see more
in the events to come.
It was great to see some ol' faces
such as Pro Rider Eddie Hernandez # 713 who graced
us with his presents with an extraordinary show of
skill through the whoop section. Better see more you
you Eddie! It was also nice to see some new
folks to the NWQN come up from Oregon. Curtis
Mcnitt #10 and family came up from Oregon to race.
We will certainly be seeing more of them as well.
It looks like we will have a good
turn out for our first ever NWQN at Spokane coming
up May 10-11th. See you all there!
ROUND 2 Results will be posted soon!
Check back in a few days!
2008 NWQN Season Opener at
Pacific Raceways
Wow! Well... April Showers bring May
Flowers!
(April. 08,
2008)
This last weekend was your
standard April weekend in the Northwest, with April
Showers, well showers, hard Rain, hail, etc...
2008 Northwest Quad Nationals events are now
underway! We
started off Saturday for our first opener of the MX
race. We kept the rain off the track for most
of the day which made it pretty good
conditions. Drew Lattimar and team worked
throughout the week to get the track and off-road
ready for both the NWQN series and the upcoming
WORCS series. Sean Reddish and the WORCS crew
showed up on Saturday to start setting up for the
World Off-Road Championship Series (W.O.R.C.S.)
which will be hosting dirt bikes next week and quads
the following. Hope to see you all there!
This is the first time WORCS will be hosting their
event at PR. It should be very exciting.
Saturdays event went well. The
Pro/Pro-AM race was exciting and offered great views for
spectators. We had a large turn our for our Production
B class and our thoughts and prayers go out to the B
rider that got bucked off the quad and had to be taken to
the Hospital. We at FZA Promotions want to let you
know we are praying for you and that you are in our
thoughts.
Dawn Wayne showed up
at the track to wish us well. Dawn greeted everyone
with that same Dawn happiness that she brought to every
race. Dawn had a pretty significant accident at
another event over the winter which she has a long road to
recovery. Dawn came out and gave that smile to
everyone with that kind heart that she has. It was
great to see you Dawn!
Sundays Pro/ Pro-AM XC race was unbelievable with Drew
Lattimar on FIRE! Drew Lattimar kept the lead up to
take the overall 1st position. Ron Heath number 82 on
the 450 Honda had a great race and was holding down second
place overall. Ryan Piplic a veteran in at WORCS
came off his quad in the first lap but quickly was able to
catch up and move up the ranks.
Their was such a great turn our in
our mini classes. We saw some great riding by
several of the mini riders. I will tell you
one thing! These kids are getting faster and
faster. I have watch several of them from the
time they started racing and I am completely amazed
at how skilled these kids are getting. It will
be interesting to see how they grow further in our
most extreme sport ever... We have the best family
oriented event this side of the Mississippi.
See you all at Round 2 of the
Northwest Quad Nationals at
STRADDLELINE
- WASHINGTON on April 26-27th, 2008!
Results are in the process of
being posted....
